Irish post-punk five-piece Fontaines D.C. returned to Columbus on Sunday evening to a packed out KEMBA Live! with a blazing set that perfectly backed-up the band’s reputation as one of best to come out of Europe in a long while. The last time Fontaines D.C. visited town they were on the accent and riding the wave of critical praise for their L.P. Skinty Fia.

Columbus Crew showcased everything about their 2025 season on Saturday with an impressive yet flawed 4-2 result over Charlotte FC at a very rainy Lower.com Field. With Charlotte riding high in the East this game was arguably the Crew’s biggest “home game” challenge to date, yet Columbus came out strong and dominated the ball. Dylan Chambost scored his first of the year to start the scoring off when the midfielder bundled the ball into the goal after a spill from the Charlotte ‘keeper.

Columbus Crew remain unbeaten during 2025 league play after a testing contest saw the Black & Gold triumph 2-1 over the leagues worst team, CF Montreal at a rain soaked Lower.com Field. The visiting Montreal came into Saturday’s fixture sitting firmly at the bottom of the Eastern conference and manager-less and looked to be heading to another comfortable loss when Crew’s AZ broke through the defense to slot the ball into the goal after just 11 minutes.

The Newport Music Hall welcomed English singer/songwriter Bishop Briggs on Sunday night for an energetic evening of alt-pop. Currently out on tour for her third studio album, Tell My Therapist I’m Fine, Briggs treated the packed crowd to a healthy selection from the LP during a largely upbeat set that also featured select cuts from the back catalog, including set-closer “River” to round out a greatly enjoyable twenty-song set. Also on the bill was dark-pop electro singer, Ellise.
Despite Win, Crew Won't Advance in CONCACAF

Columbus Crew’s CONCACAF run came to an end on Tuesday night despite heroic efforts and a 2-1 win over LAFC that simply wasn’t enough to overturn a 1st leg deficit. With a three-goal hole to climb out of it appeared most had written off the Crew with a low attendance inside Lower.com Field and even Fox Sports choosing to focus on other things.
