    AgriAmerica Fruit Products has completed its $2.5 million upgrade to a grape juice processing facility that the company revitalized in the Village of Fredonia, Gov. Kathy Hochul's office announced. AgriAmerica Fruit Products in 2018 acquired the facility at 200 Water St., to fill the need for a locally owned and operated fruit processing and juice storage facility in Chautauqua County. The company spent $2.5 million to purchase and install new machinery.

    Katz Americas, a maker of customized beverage coasters, will close its Niagara County plant and move the operations to a sister plant in Tennessee, eliminating 26 jobs. The company will complete its shutdown of its facility at 3685 Lockport Road in Sanborn by the end of the year, said Tammy Gorzka, the company's president and CEO. The plant has a current workforce of 47. The job cuts will happen in two stages.
