    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Pedestrian safety is a hot topic in the Las Vegas Valley. This month, an Arbor View High School student was hit and killed outside of her school. Next week, advocates are hosting a discussion about pedestrian safety. They are inviting the public to come. It’s planned for Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. near the 215 beltway and Durango.     LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Joree Odabi, 23, was killed while on a late afternoon walk in the southwest Las Vegas Valley. He was hit by a suspected impaired driver this week. His family says he was the kindest person you’d ever meet. “He was a really good kid. He was always there when people needed him. Every day, he went out for a walk because he just wanted to exercise,” said Valerie Odabi, Joree’s mother. But when Odabi went out before work on Tuesday, he didn’t make it home.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - DMV offices are getting busier ahead of a key date for a requirement to travel. Starting on May 7th, you must have a real ID to go through TSA checkpoints at airports, unless you have a passport. That means in Nevada, you need to have a gold state outline on your driver’s license or ID. If you don’t have it, the DMV says you need to go to an office to upgrade it before the next time you fly.
