    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - DMV offices are getting busier ahead of a key date for a requirement to travel. Starting on May 7th, you must have a real ID to go through TSA checkpoints at airports, unless you have a passport. That means in Nevada, you need to have a gold state outline on your driver’s license or ID. If you don’t have it, the DMV says you need to go to an office to upgrade it before the next time you fly.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Clark County School District has made its selection for the next possible Superintendent. During a Trustee board meeting Thursday, Jhone Ebert was selected to lead the nation’s fifth-largest school district. From here, Trustees will officially offer her the role of Superintendent at a later date. Ebert currently serves as the state’s Superintendent of Public Instruction and has been in the role since 2019 when then-Governor Steve Sisolak appointed her to the role.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas Raiders obtained Seattle’s Geno Smith in a trade Friday. Seahawks' Smith was traded for a third round pick. The trade would reunite Raiders head coach Pete Carroll and Smith. The quarterback has been with Seattle since 2019 and worked with Carroll up until the 2023 season. Smith has been the starter for the Seahawks for the last three years. Last season, Smith guided Seattle to a 10-7 record, but the team missed the playoffs.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - While the A’s have plans to move to Las Vegas in a few years. The team is already looking to sell tickets for its new ballpark. Starting this Friday, March 7, fans can join a waitlist to be the first season ticket holders when the ballpark officially opens in 2028. The cost to join the waitlist $19.01, which some believe maybe paying tribute to the year the A’s were founded in 1901.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Lawyers say the only suspect facing murder charges in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur wasn’t there when the rapper was shot and killed off the strip 30 years ago. So far, Duane “Keffe D” Davis is the only person to face charges in Tupac’s killing nearly 30 years ago. His legal team just filed a motion to continue his trial. According to his attorneys, new witness testimony found that Davis was not present at the scene of the shooting and not in Las Vegas at the time.
