A New Hampshire man was charged in connection with a deadly crash in Vermont, state police said. Vermont State police said before 2 p.m. Saturday, troopers responded to a rollover crash on Interstate 91 in Thetford. A Pontiac GTO, driven by Joseph Hamilton, 40, of Plaistow, was going south when it hit the guardrail. The passenger, a 27-year-old from Pepperell, Massachusetts was pronounced dead on scene.

New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers rescued an unprepared hiker who got caught in bad weather in Lincoln late Thursday night, authorities said. Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month is officially underway in the Granite State after a proclamation signed by the governor. Gov. Kelly Ayotte spoke Friday alongside members of the New Hampshire Motorcyclist Rights Organization and the Motorcycle Safety Task Force. Ayotte said motorcycle safety helps make the roads safer for everyone. "Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month is an opportunity to promote safety and awareness for both motorcyclists and all road users," Ayotte said.
