BRYAN, Texas (FOX 44) – A Brazos County man connected to a Bryan shooting has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to Aggravated Assault. The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office says Nathaniel Banks, Jr. pled guilty to Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon on Monday. Pursuant to a plea agreement, Judge Kyle Hawthorne sentenced Banks to 40 years in prison.

KILLEEN, Texas (FOX 44) – A Killeen native chosen to fly in the Doolittle Raid over Tokyo in World War II will be recognized. The City of Killeen will recognize Bob Gray Day this Thursday with a ceremony at the Killeen Regional Airport (GRK) at 10 a.m. The ceremony has been held annually on April 18 since 1943, but the 18th falls on Good Friday this year and city offices will be closed.

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – A woman attempting to traffic narcotics and a man who threatened a Constable with a pistol have both been sentenced to 15 years in prison in two separate cases. A Grimes County deputy originally made a traffic stop on Highway 6, near Navasota, on December 26, 2022. This resulted in the recovery of more than a pound of cocaine. When the deputy made contact with the vehicle’s passenger, identified as Star Freeland, she was concealing the cocaine.
