Sheriff Kevin Ellis says dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from an individual in Jewett at approximately 1:53 a.m. Saturday. The caller advised they needed help in the 1000 block of County Road 320.

Holland, MD, as its new president-elect, placing the Central Texas-based otolaryngologist on course to become the association’s 161st president in May 2026. The TMA says the election took place during TexMed, TMA’s annual conference, held this year in San Antonio.

BELL COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – The Bell County Water Control & Improvement District #1 (WCID 1) has released an update regarding reduced water supply during completions of critical projects. General Manager Ricky Garrett has reported that the two projects planned and funded to bring about improved reliability and enhanced resiliency are nearing completion, and critical tie-ins have been completed. Disinfection and line filling started taking place at 2 p.m. Friday.
