    A record-setting findArchaeologists have discovered what is thought to be the world's oldest known wooden structure – and it dates back even further than experts thought possible. The new research, undertaken by a team from the University of Liverpool and the University of Aberystwyth, reports on a newly-excavated arrangement of logs at the archaeological site of Kalambo Falls in Zambia, which, at at least 476,000 years old, predates even the evolution of our own species, Homo sapiens.
