Compared To Other Soundbars The LG S90TY is a 2024 mid-range 5.1.3 soundbar that comes with a dedicated sub. For all intents and purposes, it's a pared-down variant of the LG S90TR, which was released in the same year. The S90TY comes at a slightly lower price point, at the expense of discrete rear speakers (and the improved surround sound performance these speakers represent).

Compared To Other Headphones Many of the closed-back audiophile headphones we've reviewed are either purpose-built studio headphones with less bass emphasis or considerably more expensive than the FIIO FT1, like the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO or the Focal Elegia. We've only reviewed open-backed HiFiMan headphones, so while the closed-back Sundara model might be a competitively-priced alternative, we haven't tested them.

Compared To Other Soundbars The Samsung HW-Q910D is a mid-range 9.1.2 soundbar with a few premium features that help it stand out in a crowded price range. As is often the norm with Samsung, there have been incremental improvements from the Samsung HW-Q910B from two generations prior. The 2024 Samsung HW-Q910D adds Chromecast support, as well as FreeSync and G-SYNC passthrough, for those who want to use the bar as a hub between their PC and TV.

The Technics EAH-AZ100 have excellent full-range noise isolation. While their ear tips don't do much to block out noise passively, their ANC system mitigates noise across the audible spectrum, with a slight falloff in effectiveness in the low-bass region. That said, this is normal for most ANC systems. Overall, ambient chatter, chunky footsteps, and fan noise will be adequately attenuated by the Technics with ANC enabled.

Despite the brand name of CMF, the earbuds use their parent company's Nothing X app, which works with Android and iOS. Its functionality is goodโin use, it's very similar to the Nothing Ear (a) with EQ presets and a three-band EQ, while lacking the more comprehensive graphic EQ with Q-factor supported on the Nothing Ear. The Audio-Technica ADX3000 have a great build quality, so long as they're used for their intended purpose of indoor listening. They're made from durable-feeling materials like aluminum, plastic, velvet, and cloth, and their thick cable seems like it will resist fraying. The plastic hinges do seem a little fragile, but they're smooth and quiet with a good range of motion.
