Despite the brand name of CMF, the earbuds use their parent company's Nothing X app, which works with Android and iOS. Its functionality is goodโin use, it's very similar to the Nothing Ear (a) with EQ presets and a three-band EQ, while lacking the more comprehensive graphic EQ with Q-factor supported on the Nothing Ear. The Audio-Technica ADX3000 have a great build quality, so long as they're used for their intended purpose of indoor listening. They're made from durable-feeling materials like aluminum, plastic, velvet, and cloth, and their thick cable seems like it will resist fraying. The plastic hinges do seem a little fragile, but they're smooth and quiet with a good range of motion.

The Google Pixel Buds app is great. The app includes a five-band graphic EQ and EQ presets, allowing you to tailor the earbuds' sound to your preferences. You can use 'Conversation Detection' to automatically switch the earbuds to 'Transparency' mode when you speak or manually change the ANC mode in the app. 'Spatial Audio' is also accessible through the app for increased immersion, though full functionality, including head tracking, requires a Pixel 6 or newer and compatible content.

Like the Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio 8, the Harman/Kardon Go + Play 3 speaker has good controls that are easy to understand. The volume up and down buttons are straightforward enough to operate, and you can use the Bluetooth button to pair this speaker with another unit. Unfortunately, there are no distinct play or pause buttons for controlling your audio. Instead, you control audio via the multifunction button. Here is the first and second part of the manual.

The Bose SoundLink Home's frequency response accuracy is decent. It's a small speaker, so there's basically no low-bass thump to speak of. Fortunately, there's plenty of mid-bass and a slightly boosted high-bass, so kick drums and basslines sound punchy and warm. The mid-range is virtually flat, so voices in podcasts are reproduced accurately and with plenty of detail, while instruments sound convincing.
