Much like the Harman/Kardon Go + Play 3, the Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio 9 has very good controls. The speaker includes basic playback functions with dedicated buttons for volume up/down and play/pause. Most controls have secondary functions accessed by holding buttons down for a longer period or by pressing them in combination. Here is an image showing how these controls work.

The Audio-Technica ADX3000 have a great build quality, so long as they're used for their intended purpose of indoor listening. They're made from durable-feeling materials like aluminum, plastic, velvet, and cloth, and their thick cable seems like it will resist fraying. The plastic hinges do seem a little fragile, but they're smooth and quiet with a good range of motion.

This soundbar has a decent stereo frequency response. Its main limitation is its lack of a subwoofer to reproduce low- and mid-bass content like rumbly explosion effects or thumpy 808 kick drums. If you can't bear the thought of watching videos without low-end heft, it might be worth checking out the Sony BRAVIA Theater Quad with Bass Module. Regardless, this soundbar does an impressive job reproducing mid-range content like speech and treble-range content like clashing sword effects.

It was a battle of netminders Wednesday night in Estero, Florida, and the Savannah Ghost Pirates’ Evan Cormier bested his former team. Cormier made 23 saves in a 2-1 Savannah victory over the defending Kelly Cup Champion Everblades in front of 5,781 fans at Hertz Arena. Cormier appeared in 22 games during last season’s Cup run for Florida, and picks up his team-leading 10th victory of the season for the Ghost Pirates.
