    Ulster ran in four second-half tries to give their BKT United Rugby Championship play-off hopes a major boost with a 31-20 bonus-point victory at Scarlets. Ulster trailed 6-3 at half time at Parc Y Scarlets but their improved display after the interval saw them cement their place in the top eight. Scarlets were on top for much of the first period but two yellow cards to key players in the final five minutes of the opening period ultimately caused their downfall.

    Sligo needed a better second-half display, sparked by Alan McLoughlin's 38th-minute goal, to set up a six-point defeat of an enterprising Wexford outfit at a sun-blasted Markievicz Park in the Tailteann Cup. McLoughlin was outstanding for the winners, scoring 1-05, with Sean Carrabine contributing 0-06 for the home side. Wexford’s leading scorer was Glen Malone, who bagged 1-02, as the visitors threatened an upset as they led at the break.

    Three second-half goals, from Sean Cassidy and two in the space of two minutes from super sub Conor Love, sealed the deal for rampant Fermanagh over a poor Wicklow side. The winners were never troubled and missed four goal chances as they led by 0-08 to 0-04 at the break. A well-worked palmed goal from Cassidy made it game over by in the 43rd minute as they led by 1-11 to 0-4.
