Leo Cullen's side scored four of their nine tries in the final 11 minutes as they hammered the Ospreys 61-14, moving back up to second place in the BKT United Rugby Championship table.

St Vincent's from Dublin won their second consecutive All Ireland Water Polo Championships when they beat Cathal Brugha from Belfast for a second consecutive year this evening. The Northern Ireland team were out to avenge last year’s defeat and very nearly pulled it off. The reigning champions went 4 – 0 down and in a game of four quarters, only managed to score their first goal 26 seconds before half time.

The Rebels looked down and out with four minutes to play as they fell four behind a charging Limerick, inspired by 3-03 from Séamus Flanagan.

After temporarily falling to fourth, following big wins for both the Bulls and Munster, Leo Cullen's side matched their five-pointers, with a 61-14 win over an Ospreys side that faded badly in the final quarter at the RDS.

Munster ran in seven tries to boost their BKT URC standing, while Connacht's play-off hopes suffered a setback. Graham Rowntree's side were the better side in a sunny Limerick but poor execution kept the visitors in the game for longer than they should have been. Tries from RG Snyman and Calvin Nash had the hosts 14-7 up at the break with Byron Ralston's score keeping Connacht in touch.
