Tauran Ivall was out burning branches to cut down debris Tuesday afternoon. Ivall said he lost power at his Southwest Portland home around 10:00 AM Saturday morning. "Tried to get out for some things to tide us over, but coming down our driveway a tree fell right in front where I was taking off. So, we were stuck at that point. Then a few other trees came down, blocked in Barnes Road here, so crews couldn’t get out," he said.

Kurtz said the power came back Monday morning, lasting less than a minute before her house was back in the dark.
