    Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of Pokemon cards from an Oregon City store on Saturday. The burglary happened around 1:05 a.m. at Geeks and Games at 1656 Beavercreek Road, the Oregon City Police Department said in a statement. Surveillance footage of the card heist shows the masked and hooded man sidling behind the sales counter after he forced his way into the store. The footage then shows him stuffing cards into a bag before making his escape.

    Fire officials have announced progress in containing a large wildfire in central Oregon, and they’ve downgraded evacuation orders for a separate brush fire in Mosier. The Butte Creek fire, which started on Saturday about nine miles north of the town of Clarno in Wasco County, is roughly 1,776 acres in size — down from 3,000 acres on Tuesday – and now stands at about 20% contained, fire officials said.
