    University of Delaware students huddled in office space in the FinTech Innovation Hub on UD’s STAR Campus until late in the evening on March 14, preparing for the final round of the Carol A. Ammon Case Competition. When organizer Amy Estey left at 9:30 p.m., she noticed that the eventual winning team, the “Analytical Artisans,” remained in a conference room hard at work. When she returned at 7:30 the next morning, there they all were, still preparing. “Did you guys go home?” she asked.

    Mr. Bempong was a graduate of Glasgow High School and was attending Wilmington University, where he was studying computer graphic design. He was also a videographer and photographer who loved to capture the beauty of people and nature, and he enjoyed sharing his passion with family and friends. He joined the Dining Services team at the University in 2023. Mr. Bempong worked with diligence and passion, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

    Collins J. Seitz, Jr., graduated from UD in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Today, he is serving a 12-year term as chief justice of the Delaware Supreme Court. Seitz’s nominator, Ashley R. Altschuler, Esq., said that “our Supreme Court is the ultimate arbiter on Delaware law, which is particularly important because Delaware is the most popular jurisdiction for incorporations.
