ANNAPOLIS, MD — Authorities are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting in Annapolis on Thursday night. According to Annapolis police, officers responded to the 1800 block of Bowman Court shortly before 11 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. First responders took the man to the hospital for treatment. Detectives are investigating the shooting incident.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A toddler died in Silver Spring on Wednesday after police said she was left inside a hot car for several hours. According to Montgomery County police, officers responded to a home in the Wheaton-Glenmont area shortly before 1:44 p.m. after receiving a call about a child in a vehicle. When police arrived, they found the two-year-old girl inside the car. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
