SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) – The boys varsity lacrosse season is over at a New York high school, as authorities have ordered at least 11 of the team’s players to turn themselves in to police within 48 hours. Following reports of an incident of hazing within the Westhill High School team in Syracuse, Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick says he’s decided his office will prosecute charges against the students who allegedly victimized teammates.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Syracuse Police Department was called to a reported shooting where a man died in the area of West Fayette Street and West Washington Street on Wednesday, April 23. When officers arrived around 4:30 p.m., they said they found a man in his 60s suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he died from his injuries. One person has been detained in relation to the shooting.
