CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Three people were taken to the hospital after a large fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at Cicero Estates. The call for the fire went out around 2 p.m. Several fire agencies were called to the scene on Pardee Road just south of the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Cicero Police say that three people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and for breathing in too much smoke.

HASTINGS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — State troopers say the student hit by a car while crossing Route 11 outside Central Square Middle School is 12-year-old Aunamarie Mahnken. Tuesday afternoon, a spokesperson for New York State Police told NewsChannel 9 Mahnken remains in critical condition nearly 24 hours after the crash. Troopers said the 12-year-old girl was walking home from school when she failed to see a car driving south and was hit.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The family of 11-year-old Jeremiah Huff was overcome with grief and heartbreak Wednesday in a Syracuse courtroom as they shouted taunts and profanities at the man accused of killing the boy: his father. At an arraignment, David Huff was formally charged with the murder of 11-year-old Jeremiah Huff and the murder of his girlfriend, 32-year-old Yeraldith Tschudy, of Rochester. After court, the boy’s family met with the Onondaga County District Attorney.
