The Jackrabbits are winners of 63 straight regular season conference games and are 81-1 dating back to the beginning of the 2020-21 season.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (SDSU) — The South Dakota State women’s basketball team surged in the second half to beat North Dakota 66-45 Wednesday night at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. The Jackrabbits trailed 28-20 at halftime, then outscored the Fighting Hawks 21-7 in the third quarter and 25-10 in the fourth. SDSU shot just 22 percent from the field in the opening half, then a blistering 74 percent after halftime.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (SDSU) – The South Dakota State women’s basketball team put together a fourth-quarter rally to beat St. Thomas 83-76 Wednesday night at Schoenecker Arena. SDSU trailed 62-58 after three periods, then went on a 13-0 run to start the fourth. The Jacks took the lead for the first time on a Kallie Theisen layup at 6:19 and held off the Tommies down the stretch. Brooklyn Meyer and Katie Vasecka finished with 21 and 20 points, respectively, to pace the Jackrabbits.

BROOKINGS, S.D. (SDSU) — A third-quarter surge lifted the South Dakota State basketball team to a 78-61 victory over Kansas City Saturday afternoon at First Bank & Trust Arena. Up just four points at halftime, 34-30, SDSU shot 80 percent and outscored KC 25-12 in the third quarter to pull away. The Jackrabbits improve to 14-3 on the season and 4-0 in the Summit League while the Roos fall to 5-13 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - South Dakota State outscored Omaha by 30 points in the second half to top the Mavericks 93-55 Thursday night at First Bank & Trust Arena. The Jacks led by only eight points at halftime, but started the third quarter with six straight to go back up by double-digits and didn’t look back from there. The lead stretched to 22 by the end of the third and to 40 points by the final buzzer. South Dakota State has won 50 consecutive Summit League regular season contests.

BROOKINGS, S.D. (SDSU) — South Dakota State women’s basketball rolled past Eastern Washington 81-58 Wednesday night at First Bank & Trust Arena. The Jackrabbits (6-2) used a 28-point third quarter to pull away from the Eagles (2-6) in the first of two Big Sky-Summit League Challenge games for SDSU this week. Haleigh Timmer was 6-of-9 from the floor for 15 points, leading SDSU’s 50 percent shooting effort for the game.

MUNCIE, IN (SDSU) — South Dakota State basketball knocked down a season-high 11 3-pointers in a 63-55 win at Ball State Sunday afternoon at Worthen Arena. SDSU, rated eighth in the latest mid-major poll, improves to 5-2 on the year while Ball State, ranked third, moves to 5-3. Freshman Katie Vasecka paced the Jackrabbits with a career-high 17 points on the afternoon. She was 5-of-8 from the floor and hit on all three 3-point attempts. Vasecka also tallied three rebounds, one assist and one block.

LAIE, Hawaii (SDSU) — South Dakota State fell 71-57 to Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon at Cannon Activities Center on the Campus of BYU-Hawaii. Both teams shot 38 percent from the floor, but the difference came at the 3-point line, where Georgia Tech connected on nine treys compared to four for the Jackrabbits. SDSU moves to 3-2 on the season while Georgia Tech improves to 5-0. Brooklyn Meyer and Haleigh Timmer contributed 12 points apiece to pace the Jackrabbits.
