SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A mid-game surge helped lead the Lincoln baseball team past eastside rival Washington, 9-1. The game had a slow start as the contest was tied at one through three innings. The Patriots posted three runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth, pushing the lead 8-1. A late RBI triple from Jude Timat made the deficit eight. Lincoln outhit Washington 9-4. Kasen Christiansen claimed the win on the mound, while Talon Black took the loss for the Warriors.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Offense was hard to come by Thursday as Sioux Falls Christian edged Lennox on the softball diamond, 3-1. The Chargers scored two runs in the first inning, grabbing the early lead. The Orioles got on the board in the fourth. Layci Eli knocked in a run to cut the deficit down to one. BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU held their annual Pro Day in late March, giving several athletes a chance to improve their NFL stock, in front of pro scouts. That included running back Amar Johnson, who turned some heads in Brookings. College Pro Days are key for many players, including those at the FCS Level.
