SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Augustana softball team reached the NCAA Regionals and found success winning all three games. Now, the Vikings are off to the Super Regionals. The Vikings won the NSIC Tournament in early May, and that success continued into the NCAA Central Regional. The victories didn’t come easy as the first two games saw a combined eight extra innings. “Any sort of win that you can get down there is a huge win,” Augustana pitcher Grace Glanzer said.

In the late model street stocks, it’s Matt Steuerwald of Madison taking feature win. Sioux Falls’ John Lambertz earned the checkered flag in the Racesaver Sprint Car. BRANDON, S.D. (KELO)– The Washington softball went on to extend their win streak to ten in after claiming the 5-1 win over Brandon Valley Monday evening. The two teams met for a rescheduled battle that was intended for April 3rd. The Warriors would score three runs on two hits in the third inning to get things started. Washington held the Lynx to one run on four hits.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Former Iowa State quarterback Hunter Dekkers was invited to the New Orleans Saints Rookie minicamp over the weekend. Dekkers participated in USD’s Pro Day, to help display his talents. The QB hasn’t played Division I football since 2022, where his career with the Cyclones came to a halt after losing his NCAA eligibility for team betting allegations. The New Orleans Saints’ rookie minicamp started Friday, May 9th and it continued on May 10th and 11th.
I-90 Speedway held RPM Racing series
