    A spokesperson for Mayor Tishaura Jones confirms the administration has fired Director of Personnel Sonya Jenkins-Gray. Her firing comes after a recommendation by the Civil Service Commission, whose members found her to have improperly driven a city vehicle for personal use last summer. KMOX has reached out to Jenkins-Gray for comment and is awaiting response. The Mayor's office in a statement says of her successor: "The announcement of a provisional appointment for the position is forthcoming."

    An 18-year-old from Affton is charged with spray painting two buildings in the Affton School District in the past week with racial slurs, swastikas, and other threatening messages and symbols of hate. The St. Louis County Prosecutor's office charged Patrick Sloan on Thursday with two counts of property damage motivated by discrimination. He was identified from video footage by a family member and other witnesses. And Sloan reportedly admitted to the family member that he was responsible.
