Myers’ company, Epha Inc., which received the award in March, manufactures plastic hose protectors and hose routing accessories in its shop in Hermiston and ships them around the world.

It was an interesting decision considering she had a successful career selling manufactured homes for 37 years for Central Homes in Woodburn where she and her sister, Bonnie Tornow, were the company’s top sellers nationwide for several years. She later became the owner and ran the company from 1984 to 1998.

    Published 7:38 am Wednesday, April 16, 2025 HERMISTON — The Hermiston City Council at its meeting Monday, April 14, gave City Manager Byron Smith authorization to make a $2.1 million offer to purchase 140.06 acres of that includes a portion of the Hermiston Airport’s Runway Protection Zone. The Federal Aviation Administration has agreed to pay $1,890,000 of the purchase price.
