In financial services, having a proper data modeling strategy is crucial. The volume of data that banks collect and create is continuously growing, partly due to the expansion of digital banking and payments. Financial institutions rely heavily on data to power applications, analyze risks, and make decisions. The way data is modeled can significantly impact the performance, scalability, and accuracy of these systems, as well as the speed of development for new financial products or services.

AbstractMonoaminergic nuclei such as the serotonergic dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN) receive synaptic inputs containing functionally distinct streams of information, yet the dimensionality of the resulting output population code and its cellular underpinning are currently unknown.

AbstractThe serotonergic dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN) receives diverse long-range synaptic inputs, yet the processing rules governing their contribution to DRN output spiking patterns are largely unknown. Here, we use electrophysiological, optogenetic and computational approaches to compare electrophysiological features of two major excitatory inputs onto DRN 5-HT neurons - the lateral habenula (LHb) and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC).

AbstractSerotonin (5-HT) neurons in the dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN) receive a constellation of long-range inputs, yet guiding principles of local circuit organization and underlying computations in this nucleus are largely unknown. Using inputs from the lateral habenula (LHb) to interrogate the processing features of the DRN, we uncovered 5-HT1A receptor-mediated recurrent connections between 5-HT neurons, refuting classical theories of autoinhibition.

Stamp kit example from Michael Lynn Stamp expert Michael Lynn recently donated several fine examples of stamps to the Bay Village Historical Society. Many date as far back as the Civil War era. Mr. Lynn also explained some of the terms and best practices used in the hobby of stamp collecting. If you would like to begin the hobby of philately (stamp collecting), Mr. Lynn is happy to get you started by emailing him at [email protected].
