    A student massage therapist is facing charges after he "inappropriately touched" a client during a massage at a Calgary clinic. Calgary police say a female victim went for a massage at the Professional Institute of Management & Technology near Kensington Road and 14 Street NW on March 18. It is alleged a second-year student massage therapist touched the victim inappropriately several times during the message.

Six of the city's seven courses are now open for the season - the seventh location, Lakeview 9, set to open soon.     A sports school in Calgary has helped make a local athlete's pro basketball dream come true. Yvonne Ejim, a Grade 12 student at Edge School, is the first basketball player from Calgary to be drafted into the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Instilling academics, athletics and character into their curriculum, Ejim's high school coach Eddie Richardson remembered that she, like so many other kids, had a dream of making it pro.

    Calgary police shared their annual update at city hall on Wednesday, reporting fewer homicides and shootings in the last year compared to the five-year average. Calgary Police Chief Mark Neufeld said while there's been a decrease in violent crime, there were also 21,000 fewer calls for service. "This year we were a bit anomalous, in that the number of calls for service has gone down because of some of the work that we've done," he said.
