Lone Cabbage Fish Camp, established in the early 1940s, offers a classic "old Florida" experience on the St. Johns River. Activities include airboat rides through the swamplands, viewing wildlife, and dining on local fare like alligator and frog legs. The family-owned business provides 30-minute airboat tours, costing $38 for adults and $30 for children. You’d be hard pressed to find a more classic Florida experience than Lone Cabbage Fish Camp.

Satellite Beach City Council is considering expanding an ordinance to allow alcohol at any facility or property that is owned or operated by the city. You might want to slow down before you crack open a cold one on the beach or while strolling in a city park. The changes, if approved, aren’t much different than what’s currently in place. Alcohol is now allowed only at certain city locations and only when a special events permit is issued.
