Since Feb. 3, when a cyberattack shut down most systems at Lee Enterprises, the parent company of The Journal Times, teams have been working day and night to bring you the complete newspaper you expect. Today, we cannot be more pleased to tell you we are back to full strength. For the past few days, you’ve probably noticed the newspaper has returned to its bigger size. It has more local news, sports and features, and we’ve brought back the Sunday Family & Life section.

Catching the tail-end of the famed Bike WeekIn the early hours of Thursday, March 6, 2025, I left home pulling my toy hauler/trailer, headed for Daytona Beach. I had loaded in the trailer my Honda Monkey and CB500X , and my friend David’s Triumph Bonneville 1200. David was pulling his teardrop camper with his Mercedes as we headed on our way to Florida. The weather was good and we made it to the Florida line somewhere around noon.

One of the phrases bantered around the newsroom when I was working as an editor for one of the global tech giants was, “Technology’s great — until it isn’t.”This week, a serious technology outage has delayed the production of both the daily print and e-editions of The Journal Times and Kenosha News. We’re working to resolve these issues. It’s not unusual to receive a couple calls about missed paper delivery because nothing is ever truly perfect.

Riding America on a 1984 Harley-Davidson SportsterIt was the summer of 1984. I was riding my Harley-Davidson FLH to California with my wife at the time, on one of our many road trip adventures. We stopped in Flagstaff, Arizona and visited the local Harley shop, mostly because we were always looking for more oil for the bike. As I walked in the front door, they were using a new black XLX Sportster for a doorstop to keep the front door open.
