The ballots for the NHL awards hit the email boxes on Friday and there are a lot of points to ponder for the voters. It’s one of the most interesting Hart Trophy races in years, thanks in part to Connor McDavid being out of the running due to multiple stints on the injured list. The Calder Trophy voting could bounce between several rookies and the Selke might feature some prominent forwards really growing as two-way players.

#Sabres had 41-30 advantage on shots on goal — but fall to 0-3 this season when having 40+ shots. Had averaged only 27.6 shots over the last five games and won them all. Just a weird season all around.

#CBJ Jet Greaves with 39 saves, stopped 33 shots in the final two periods.

That would be the 8th loss of the year when the #Sabres led by multiple goals and couldn’t hold the advantage. Five of the eight in regulation. A ton of lost points. No 900th for Lindy tonight.
