WaMaC Conference opponents better start taking the West Delaware softball team seriously. The Hawks swept Center Point-Urbana on the road, 9-3 and 4-0, June 2, then finished their week with a home sweep of Marion, 6-5 and 8-7, June 4. In the opener against CPU, the Hawks spotted the hosts a run in the first, before scoring four of their own in the top of the third. They added two more in the fifth and three in the sixth.
