Cascade’s girls’ golf team made the long trip to Muscatine for the River Valley Conference Golf Tournament, May 7, where the Cougars finished in the middle of the pack. “On Wednesday, we went to Muscatine and placed eighth in the conference,” said coach Claire Molony. “All the girls golfed well and we were just two strokes from a season-low on 18 holes. As expected, the River Valley Conference Boys’ Golf Tournament turned into a shootout at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course, May 6. Only seven shots separated the top six teams, as West Branch finished at 313 to edge second-place Mid-Prairie with 314. Tipton and West Liberty finished at 316, with Iowa City Regina Catholic fifth with 317 and Cascade sixth with 320.
