PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Mission Kitchen in Port St. Lucie asks customers to round-up their bill for a good cause each day. Now a veteran’s non-profit is benefitting from not only those round-ups but generous donations by diners at the café. Each month Mission Kitchen donate these proceeds to a local non-profit. WPTV Anchor Mike Trim was there Wednesday when Mission Kitchen owners donated $1,196 to X-22 Adventures founder Stephen Cone.

It comes after roundabouts emerged at our Let’s Hear it meetup in Tradition in early March. Many who spoke with WPTV Anchor Mike Trim said the traffic lights take too long to cycle, causing congestion. “I used to be able to just go out and go anywhere no more than just one cycle. Now you can sit at a traffic light like over by WaWa for two, three cycles waiting to get through. Especially in the afternoon,” said Port St. Lucie resident Richard Blumsack.
