Two fifth-year seniors from the UCF Men's Golf Team, Luis Carrera and Johnny Travale, earned spots in the Men's Golf NCAA Tournament on May 3. Both men will compete as individuals in the NCAA Regional competition in Salem, South Carolina from May 15-17, according to the NCAA. This comes after the duo was selected for the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team on May 2, according to the conference.

For the 13th consecutive year, UCF women’s golf placed in the top five at the American Athletic Conference Tournament. The Knights placed second after the conclusion of the tournament’s third round with a final score of 853 (15 under par). SMU’s team score of 839 (29 under par) led to the Mustangs tournament victory, according to golfstat.com. The AAC Tournament was held at the Southern Hills Golf Club in Brooksville, Florida from Monday to Wednesday.

Avalon Ramsey, freshman biology major and resident at the Apollo Community's Lake Hall on UCF's main campus, said she was shocked and confused when she was woken up by a loud noise after 1 a.m. on April 7. “I woke up from a deep sleep with banging on my door and officers yelling ‘UCFPD,’” Ramsey said.

AbstractCellular heterogeneity in cancer is linked to disease progression and therapy response, although mechanisms regulating distinct cellular states within tumors are not well understood. We identified melanin pigment content as a major source of cellular heterogeneity in melanoma and compared RNAseq data from high-pigmented (HPCs) and low-pigmented melanoma cells (LPCs), suggesting EZH2 as a master regulator of these states.

Anna Nordfors and UCF women's golf had record-breaking performances in the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando. At the annual UCF Challenge, which began on Sunday and concluded on Tuesday, Nordfors finished with a final score of 195, which was 21 under par, earning first place in the individual competition. On Sunday, Nordfors set a new record at UCF by shooting a 64, which she broke again on Monday with a 63.
