GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Gainesville police officers are looking for a person they say shot three people at an Easter egg hunt in TB McPherson Park Sunday night. A Gainesville Police Department (GPD) spokesperson said someone shot three people at the park around 8:15 p.m. The officer described the scene of the shooting as “chaos,” adding that one to two thousand people were at the Easter egg hunt. Officers released the video below showing the gunman, marked in red.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - It was a big night in Newberry as voters took to the polls to choose a new mayor for the first time in years. Officials say voters showed up in record numbers— ready to have a say in who their new mayor will be. And after a historic turnout in a race with no incumbent, we now know who will take over the city’s top seat. Tim Marden won with 885 votes to Joy Glanzer’s 788 votes.
