(WTRF) – Jon Wysocki, a drummer and founding member of the rock band Staind, has died at 53, according to members of his current band. Bandmates on Wysocki’s current project, Lydia’s Castle, announced his death over the weekend on social media. “On 5/18/2024 at 8:02pm, [Jon Wysocki] passed away surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly. An official statement will be developed shortly,” the band wrote in an Instagram post shared on Saturday.

English singer-songwriter Steve Harley, Cockney Rebel’s frontman passed away at the age of 73, on March 17th. He was known for his hit singles such as “Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)”. The reason for his death remains undisclosed. However, it is more likely that the singer has died due to cancer, as he was taking cancer treatment for a while. He also could not continue his tour last month, because of cancer.

Alliance Agents, a booking agency, announced his passing in a March 12 post on Facebook. “We are very sad to confirm the passing of our friend and client Michael Culver,” the post read. “A career spanning over 50 years with notable roles in ‘Sherlock Holmes,’ ‘A Passage to India,’ ‘Secret Army’ and of course one of the most memorable death scenes in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise,” the statement continued.
