SPOKANE, Wash -- We used to warn kids about strangers in cars, but now, rather than a van driving down the street, the stranger danger is in the palm of their hands. New social media platforms are constantly popping up, ones you have probably never heard of. So, how can you stay on top of it and keep your kids safe? OJ Weiss has two kids, 11 and 14, who are just starting to use social media. "It used to be 'don't talk to strangers,' but now you're inviting the strangers into your house," said Weiss.

SPOKANE, Wash-- Spokane Police are investigating an overnight shooting that killed one person and injured another. According to SPD, this happened around 3:15 a.m. at the Maverik at the intersection of Division and Montgomery. SPD says multiple people called to report the shooting to 911. Officers arrived and found two people had been shot. One died at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition. SPD Major Crimes detectives are investigating.
