    RIVERTON, Utah (KUTV) — A huge chunk of Bangerter Highway heading southbound--between 126th South to Redwood Road--is closing Friday night for some major roadwork as the population grows on the west side of the county. UDOT says Bangerter sees tens of thousands of cars a day--but it's a little less on the weekends. So, they're trying to minimize that traffic headache.

The Nebo Regional Water Project — developed by the Central Utah Water Conservancy District (CUWCD) — has been in the works for several years. The goal is to get more water to southern Utah County in an effort to keep up with the growing population's needs.

Last fiscal year, the department got roughly $14 million from the city, and now they're asking for about $1.1 million more. In Lehi, residents said they support the funding for the police but want more transparency on where it's going and how it's being spent.
