Charles Sheldon Bates was arrested on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor, aggravated sexual abuse of a child, and forcible sodomy. According to court documents, officers with the Unified Police Department discovered 134 images of child sexual abuse material. Investigators said the abuse happened at Bates’ home and the Kearns community swimming pool.
