DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- Severe storms from Wednesday night have moved off to the east, but showers will linger for the first half of Thursday with heat on the way by the weekend. Expect isolated showers for the start of the day on Thursday with more clearing by the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s. A few heavier pockets of rain and rumbles of thunder possible with these showers. Heat and humidity ramp up Friday with highs rising into the mid 80s under more sun than clouds.

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- More showers and storms will move through the Miami Valley for Tuesday, but strong to severe storms are possible late Wednesday. Severe weather is unlikely Tuesday, although a downpour may briefly reduce visibility and cause roads to pond. Tuesday will be similar to Monday with highs in the 80s despite a higher threat for afternoon showers and storms. The heat and humidity increase Wednesday ahead of our next weather maker.
