    Longtime Pitt football sports information E.J. Borghetti is leaving his current post and moving into a new role at the University of Pittsburgh. On Thursday, the university announced the Borghetti will join a recently established external relations leadership team to advance strategic priorities and amplify public impact. The unit is led by Senior Vice Chancellor for External Relations Kevin Washo. Borghetti will fill a role as Special Assistant to the Senior Vice Chancellor for External Relations.

    The 2025 Pitt football season is now just three months away and the start times for three games have been revealed, including the Backyard Brawl. Pitt will travel to Morgantown for a Week 3 matchup against West Virginia on Sept. 13. The 108th edition of the Backyard Brawl will kick off at 3:30 p.m. from Milan Puskar Stadium and be televised on ESPN.
