CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to charges related to possessing thousands of images of child sexual abuse material, including AI-generated content, federal prosecutors announced. Daniel Broadway, 53, faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession and access with intent to view child pornography involving prepubescent minors and possession of obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The North Carolina Court of Appeals has upheld the murder conviction of a Charlotte man who fatally shot a 31-year-old man outside a Panera during a drug deal robbery. In the ruling, the court rejected all three appeal arguments from Jeffrey Boggs, 31, who was convicted in 2023 of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the 2018 death of Demarco Pegues.
