1 INTRODUCTION Wholly preventable occupational heat-illness and injury can be detrimental to worker health and labor productivity.1 Almost one-third of employees subjected to heat stressors experience declines in work performance.2 To combat current and future workplace risk of excess heat exposure in a warming world, low-cost, practical, and scalable solutions for overheated workers are needed.
