    Perry County- An arrest is made in a suspected arson fire to a restaurant in Perry County. The New Lexington Police Department announced Monday that a male subject was arrested in connection to the fire at Dodson’s on Broadway. Authorities said the man was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville. The case remains under active investigation by the New Lexington Police Department in coordination with the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office.

    Muskingum County- The State Highway Patrol is investigating a hazmat incident in Muskingum County. It took place at the intersection of State Route 83 and State Route 93. The Patrol said two tanks containing herbicides were being hauled on a Heritage Cooperative straight truck when they fell off the truck and emptied their contents on the road and surrounding area. One tank contained Round Up Power Max 3 and the other was Class Act NG.

    I-70 Ramp Closure The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced a new closure due to the Interstate 70 project through Zanesville. ODOT said beginning Monday the Maple Avenue to McIntire Avenue ramp will close. The I-70 project through Zanesville will reconstruct the interstate and resurface I-70 between US 40 and State Route 93.

    Coshocton, OH- A project designed to foster small business and economic development opened in Coshocton. Over $6.2m was invested to renovate the three-story, 24,900 square foot former Chacos Brothers building in the heart of Coshocton’s downtown. The Coshocton Collaborative will be a unique maker space, business incubator and co-working facility. The Coshocton Port Authority has moved its office into the renovated building and will work with private-sector businesses looking to utilize the space.

    Zanesville,OH- Zanesville Police said a suspect who broke into several businesses and churches in the downtown has formally been charged. 34-year-old Kenneth Linscott faces one charge of burglary, seven counts of breaking and entering and seven counts of criminal damaging. The case will be presented to a Muskingum County Grand Jury at a later date. Linscott is presently incarcerated in the Zanesville City Jail.
