A concert has been announced for Thursday 12th June at the iconic Prince Albert, which is located seconds from Brighton’s Mainline Railway Station. The event flyer cryptically states “Do You Believe In The Westworld? Presents Legion – IX A Very Special Warm Up Show” along with an image of a bull and two face logos.

The Bluetones first came to prominence in 1995, when their debut release ‘Are You Blue Or Are You Blind’ broke into the Top 40. The single proved to be the launching pad for a run that saw 14 hit singles and 6 albums follow on from it. From thereon, the band, made up of brothers Mark & Scott Morriss alongside Adam Devlin and Eds Chesters, enjoyed considerable UK and Ireland successes, extending out across into Europe and Japan, before taking a hiatus in 2011 that lasted for 4 years.

They comprise Melissa Scaduto and Brady Keehn and they last played live in Brighton back in 2018, where they totally blew me away at both The Hope & Ruin on 19th September 2018 (Review HERE) and at The Prince Albert on 27th January 2018 (Review HERE). Three months ago they announced 11 North American concert dates, 9 UK dates, and 17 European performances.

PRIMA QUEEN + LILO – PATTERNS, BRIGHTON 24.5.25 This is my fifth time seeing Prima Queen, a band I’ve been actively following and consuming their music since 2022. They are an indie/alternative rock band formed by trans-Atlantic best friends and joint song writers Kristin McFadden and Louise Macphail. I first saw them at the 100 Club in London where they supported Wet Leg and honestly I felt they were the better band that night.

HEAVEN 17 – CHALK, BRIGHTON 25.525Tonight was the first time I saw the 1980-formed New Wave/Synth-Pop band, Heaven 17, perform. They’ve played Brighton on many previous occasions, with Concorde 2 being their usual venue. Tonight was the first time they played Chalk in Pool Valley. With the doors opening just after 6:30pm and no support act, there was a lot of waiting around for the audience before the band took to the stage.
