Eight Cardinal Runners Compete in WashU Distance Carnival

ST. LOUIS – Eight members of the Saginaw Valley State University track and field team competed at the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis on Friday night. Three members of the women's team and five Cardinal men's runners competed in the 5K at the meet. Maddie Isola was the top finisher on the women's side as she finished the 5K in 38th after recording a time of 17 minutes and 36.38 seconds. Lynsey Amthor followed in 42nd with her time of 17:43.09.

CHICAGO – The Saginaw Valley State University men's track and field team competed in the Lewis Invitational on Friday evening in Chicago. The Cardinals had a good showing at the meet with two event wins and four personal best markings. Dominic Suliman was one of the SVSU winners as he finished the mile in four minutes and 8.78 seconds. Andrew Quinn won the shot put with a season-best marking of 16.90m.
