ST. LOUIS – Eight members of the Saginaw Valley State University track and field team competed at the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis on Friday night. Three members of the women's team and five Cardinal men's runners competed in the 5K at the meet. Maddie Isola was the top finisher on the women's side as she finished the 5K in 38th after recording a time of 17 minutes and 36.38 seconds. Lynsey Amthor followed in 42nd with her time of 17:43.09.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Saginaw Valley State University cross country teams competed in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional held at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course in Evansville, Indiana. The men's team finished third with a final score of 112 while the women's team placed fifth with a score of 168. Thomas Hufton led the way for the Cardinals with a fourth-place finish in the individual standings after clocking a time of 31 minutes, 5.4 seconds.

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University cross country team had eight total runners earn all-conference honors at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships in Houghton, Michigan on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinal men finished second in the team standings with 62 points while the women finished third with 101 points.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University cross country teams competed in the Mel Brodt Collegiate Invitational at Bowling Green State University on Friday evening. The men's team finished second out of eight teams with a final score of 46 while the women placed eighth out of 10 teams with a final tally of 169 points. Dominic Suliman was the top finisher for the Cardinals with a 25-minute, 9.1-second finish to place fifth in the individual.

NEW ORLEANS – The Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's track & field team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team award. The men had a cumulative GPA of 3.037 while the women finished with a 3.263 team GPA to earn the award. For a team to make the list it must obtain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's roster for indoor and/or outdoor track and field.
