DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- Cooler temperatures start again Tuesday with highs only in the upper 40s. A few stray lighter showers are possible otherwise it will be partly to mostly cloudy. Winds could gust into the 30-40 mph range making for a breezy and cool day overall. More sunshine returns by Wednesday with highs back into the middle 50s. Thursday should be near average with highs in the mid 60s with a few clouds during the afternoon.

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- Cooler air has moved back into the Miami Valley with temperatures remaining well below average Saturday. As skies clear overnight, temperatures will fall to around freezing for the Miami Valley. A Freeze Warning is in effect from midnight until 9 am Saturday. Protect your plants as well as any outdoor exposed plumbing!After starting around freezing Saturday, sunshine will help temperatures climb into the middle 50s by Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday rises into the mid to upper 40s as clouds increase during the morning and afternoon. Showers move into the Miami Valley during the evening as our next weather maker stalls in the Great Lakes. Showers are likely again on Thursday as highs rise into the 50s. A few morning showers are possible Friday as temperatures fall into the 50s.
