COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Texas A&M track and field team set the tone at their first home outdoor meet of the season. At the 44 Farms Team Invitational, Winny Bii won the triple jump with a leap of 13.74m/45-1. In the seventh and final heat of the women’s 100 meters hurdles Jaiya Covington came in first with a time of 12.77. In the men’s 400 meters, former A&M track star and Olympic medalist Bryce Deadmon finishes with a time of 44.30. This mark is the fastest time in the world this year.

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KBTX) - The A&M Consolidated girls soccer team advanced to their first ever state title game after a 5-4 win over Smithson Valley on penalty kicks. Smithson Valley scored first in the 32′ and held that lead through halftime. Consol evened the game in the second half after Kayla Morawietz goal in the 52′.
