THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Bronx babysitter accused of beating several kids, including two with a belt, was arrested Wednesday morning, authorities said. Lakeysha Jackson, 24, was taken into custody after barricading herself in her Bronx apartment. A warrant was issued for her arrest after she was indicted on assault and weapons charges, according to authorities. Jackson was arraigned in Bronx Supreme Court on Wednesday afternoon. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — The body believed to be a 2-year-old boy who disappeared last month was found in the water in New York City on Wednesday, sources said. Little Montrell Williams was last seen May 10 at his grandmother’s house in the Bronx, according to police and the family. The NYPD Harbor Unit found the body near College Point in Queens, and investigators are waiting for Bronx detectives to identify the body, sources said. NYPD divers had been searching the Bronx River since Monday.
