NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – The death of a New Jersey sheriff’s officer appears to have been accidental, officials announced Friday afternoon. The victim, 29-year-old Justin Rivera, was on duty when he fell from the ninth-floor window of the Hudson County Administration Building at 595 Newark Avenue in Jersey City, officials say. The administration building was not open to the public during the incident due to an unrelated power outage, authorities said.
