    NEW YORK (PIX11) – A former FDNY Chief was sentenced to three years in prison for accepting thousands of dollars in bribes, the City of New York Department of Investigations announced Wednesday. Anthony Saccavino, 60, a former Chief in the Bureau of Fire Prevention, accepted bribes in exchange for providing expedited plan reviews and priority inspections, according to a DOI investigation. As stated in court documents, Saccavino was ordered to pay $150,000 in fines and $57,000 in forfeiture.

    NEW YORK (PIX11) — Grammy-winning R&B singer Kali Uchis is coming to New York City this Fall. After releasing her latest studio album, “Sincerely,” on Friday, Uchis will begin a tour across the United States and Canada starting in August. Presale ticket sales for her show at Madison Square Garden have already begun. General ticket sales start at $79, and a VIP Package will be available for $388 starting Friday. Uchis is set to take the stage at MSG on Sep. 11.

Sources say officers were called to assist with a domestic incident in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Brownsville. More Local News A woman called 911 and said she was afraid that the father of her kids was going to kill her. She told the 911 operator that the man was known to carry weapons, including machetes and hammers, police said.
