NEW YORK (PIX11) – Six people, including three children, were killed in a helicopter crash in the Hudson River Thursday afternoon, according to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. Detectives in the NYPD Harbor Unit said two of the kids are estimated to be under 6 years old. Fulop said Spanish tourists were among the victims. This is a developing story. NEW YORK (PIX11) – Six people died after a helicopter crashed in the Hudson River near Jersey City Thursday afternoon, a source said. The helicopter crash was reported on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River around 3:15 p.m., according to the FDNY. A Bell 206 helicopter crashed and became submerged in the water, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. NYPD and FDNY crews are conducting a rescue operation, officials said.
