Nick Pivetta and four relievers were on the Red Sox’s secondshutout of the series, while Emmanuel Valdéz hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. For the finale of an opening homestand, they went 1-6 and dropped to an AL-worstminus-29 run difference, which resulted in the Athletics drawing out 6,436. 45,680 fans attended the seven games.

In 2009, Plympton learned that he had polycystic kidney disease. A genetic disease thathis mother and grandmother had as well. By Nicole TownsendAccording to a report, a male suspect was accused of organizing the shooting of BostonRed Sox legend David Ortiz, who was found dead in the Dominican Republic. In December, Victor Hugo Gomez Vasquez went missing, and on January 10, his bodywas found, according to Boston.com, making this the second death of a suspect inconnection to this case. Furthermore, another arrest was made in this case on Tuesday of this week.

When 34-year-old visual artist Ayana Mack started selling her artwork in 2014, she was excited to share her work and ambitious to create community connections. A few years after selling her pieces, however, she noticed something was off. “I started to see the disparity and the difference between [access to] art in neighborhoods of color, Black neighborhoods like Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, versus downtown Boston or the Seaport,” Mack said.
