LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — A man arrested in connection to the murder of his parents in Amite, Louisiana, was found with three guns, body armor, and wearing 'military-style attire', according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. 34-year-old Joshua Brocato was arrested in Los Angeles County, California on Friday after police issued a warrant for his arrest. After TPSO alerted law enforcement agencies, deputies at the Marina Del Rey station took Brocato into custody.

NEW ORLEANS — The Humane Society of Louisiana wants answers in identifying juveniles believed of throwing bricks and damaging a Canada goose's nest. The organization is offering a $750 reward. The bird's nest was destroyed last Saturday, Mar. 29, behind the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in Armstrong Park. Three children were spotted 'throwing bricks and rocks at the goose and her eggs from a nearby bridge," a release said. They broke three of the goose's eggs as a result.

One person was hit by a New Orleans Police Department unit on Mardi Gras Day under the Claiborne Avenue underpass. WWL's Reporter Paul Murphy was on the scene. The NOPD unit hit the pedestrian near North Claiborne and Kerlerec Street, Murphy reported. The victim reportedly suffered an ankle injury and was taken to the hospital, police said. The accident happened as police worked to control crowds along the Claiborne Avenue underpass.
