PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - About 3,000 doctors at four of Philadelphia's top hospitals are planning to unionize. In front of the former Hahnemann University Hospital, which was shuttered in 2019, resident physicians and fellows at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Einstein Healthcare Network, Jefferson Health, and Temple Health announced on Thursday their intent to unionize under the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR), a local of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Three people are dead after a murder-suicide shook a quiet block in West Oak Lane, say police. Investigators believe a man shot and killed two next-door neighbors before turning a gun, fatally, on himself. Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, police were notified of a shooting on Walnut Lane, near 74th Avenue in West Oak Lane.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person who attacked a man on a SEPTA train on Halloween night. It happened on Oct. 31 around 5:30 p.m. on a Market-Frankford Line train in the area of Columbus Boulevard and Spring Garden Street. Police said a 38-year-old man was punched several times in the head and face by the unknown suspect, leaving him with a concussion.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - A 19-year-old in Lansdowne, Delaware County has been charged in the shooting death of his pregnant girlfriend. The Lansdowne Police Department said Kaiheem Williams has been charged with first-degree murder. Officials responded to an apartment building on North Wycombe Avenue, near Powelton Avenue, around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 for a report of someone shot. Officers found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was eight months pregnant.

PINE HILL, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) - A huge three-alarm fire at a South Jersey apartment complex destroyed 16 units and displaced nearly three dozen people Tuesday night. Firefighters were called to the Mansion Apartments in Pine Hill, Camden County for a report of a fire on a balcony around 6 p.m.Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters said it took firefighters about two hours to get the blaze under control.
